Volunteering to help UNITED’s West Region associates affected by southern Louisiana flooding
We are so thankful. We have been asked how friends, family members, groups can give their hands-on help to UNITED associates and families impacted by loss due to the significant flooding in southern Louisiana.
UNITED associates are being interviewed by our Human Resources personnel to assess who needs what services and how much hands on help is needed. Volunteer assistance will be organized in groups depending on the number of volunteers. Scheduling is for weekends only (Saturday and/or Sunday) between the hours of 9a.m. – 4p.m.
What are the needs and how can I help?
We welcome anyone 13 years (if accompanied by a parent) and older that can provide a helping hand for such as …
- specialized carpentry
- contractor experience
- Sheetrock experience
- Clean up
We have been overwhelmed at the concern and level of support for our affected employees. This flooding event will impact the South Louisiana area for many months to come and there will be additional opportunities to volunteer if you are not able to join us this weekend. On behalf of the UNITED West Region and those who have been affected, Thank you for rallying around your friends, families and your community partners in the Coca-Cola UNITED Family.
Gratefully,
Melanie Clark
Corporate Senior Director of Marketing
