American Beverage Association Announces Election of New Officers to Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Beverage Association (ABA) today announced the election of Claude B. Nielsen, chairman and chief executive officer, Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc. as Chair of its Board of Directors, as well as other officers to the Board.
Mr. Nielsen, who previously served as Vice Chair, succeeds Tom L. Bené, President, PepsiCo Foodservice. The Board also elected Rodger L. Collins, President of Packaged Beverages for Dr Pepper Snapple Group, as Vice Chair.
“Our industry has a proven record of significant and positive leadership in business and society,” Mr. Nielsen said. “As Board Chair, I look forward to working with my fellow Board members and other industry leaders as we further advance our unwavering and meaningful commitment to consumers, customers and communities.”
