Diet Coke has heart

February 8, 2013

Show Your HeartDiet Coke is celebrating its sixth year as a proud supporter of The Heart Truth® campaign. Sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and joined by partners, including the American College of Cardiology, The Heart Truth® is a national campaign dedicated to raising support for heart health research and programs.

Diet Coke has an important role in raising awareness for this cause. For the first time ever, we are featuring a hashtag – #ShowYourHeart – as the campaign’s centerpiece. With this year’s stylish #ShowYourHeart packaging we hope to bring together a new generation of passionate heart health supporters and ignite a social conversation. To do this, Diet Coke is tapping into its passionate followers on Twitter and Instagram and encouraging them to “show their hearts” and share The Heart Truth® message.

Throughout February, Diet Coke and The Heart Truth® fans can activate donations to women’s heart health programs by sharing heart-inspired photos on Twitter and Instagram, using the hashtag #ShowYourHeart. Each person who uses #ShowYourHeart will trigger a $1 donation from Diet Coke to the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (up to $100,000) to help support women’s heart health education and research.

Diet Coke HeartAnd because showing your heart is always in style, we’ll be joining Diet Coke Celebrity Ambassador Minka Kelly at the star-studded Red Dress CollectionSM Fashion Show in New York City on February 6. This annual event celebrates the Red DressSM – the national symbol for women’s heart health – and raises awareness for the cause. Go to DietCoke.com/ShowYourHeart to learn more.

We hope you’ll join us in sharing news about this program that is near and dear to our heart.

Thank you for your support!
