Baseball fan? Sports enthusiast? If you are either, you are more than likely going to be in Montgomery, Alabama, Tues., June 23, for the once in a decade Southern League Double-A All-Star Baseball Game. Yes, you read correctly … a “once in a decade” event.
Double-A is the second highest tier of baseball in Minor League Baseball in the U.S. From this tier, players such as Montgomery Biscuits’ own Evan Longoria, often advance directly to the majors from this level. Players participating in the Southern League All-Star Game are selected from across 10 Double-A baseball teams in the Southern League via a voting process.

All-Star festivities will resume the evening of Tuesday, June 23 at Riverwalk Stadium with the Southern League All-Star Home Run Derby presented by Alfa Insurance where the league’s top hitters and prospects will compete for the Home Run Derby Title. The 2014 Minor League Player of the Year and number-two, overall prospect in all of baseball, Kris Bryant won the 2014 Home Run Derby in Chattanooga. The Biscuits’ own Cameron Seitzer won the 2013 crown in Jacksonville.
Following the Southern League All-Star Home Run Derby presented by Alfa Insurance, the Southern League All-Star Game presented by Wind Creek Hospitality will commence at 7:35 pm. Following the game, fans will enjoy a MAX Fireworks Spectacular.
Tickets for the 2015 Southern League All-Star Game presented by Wind Creek Hospitality are $22 for reserved seating and $15 for general admission. Single game tickets will go on sale Monday, March 23, 2015. Ticket prices include admission to the 2015 Southern League Home Run Derby presented by Alfa Insurance.
