Hattiesburg High will host the annual basketball
Coca-Cola Classic Tournament starting at 9:30 a.m. Monday.
The event will feature some of Mississippi’s top basketball programs. Southaven, Gentry, Clinton, Moss Point, East Marion and Natchez are some of the teams on the boy’s side of the tournament that will participate in the three-day tournament. Southaven and Clinton both boast Dandy Dozen players in Taze Moore and Galin Smith respectively.
But according to Hattiesburg High head coach Ernie Watson, from top to bottom, it is one of the best tournaments offer in the state this year.
“I’m very proud of this year’s tournament,” Watson said. “It is definitely going to be one of the top tournaments in the state. We want people to come out and enjoy some good basketball. With two Dandy Dozen’s and two area teams, it should be fun to watch and be a part of.”
Both Hattiesburg High boys and girls teams will play the last two games of the day Monday.
