Cleveland Coca-Cola Production Center
The Cleveland Coca-Cola Production Center (Cleveland, Tennessee) became a member of our company, Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc. (“Coca-Cola UNITED”), Friday, July 29, 2017 as a part of the 21 Century Beverage Partnership Model and the creation of the National Product Supply System (“NPSS”).
Since 2015, Coca-Cola UNITED has acquired an five additional production operation, which are College Park (GA), Marietta (GA), Montgomery (AL), New Orleans, (LA), and our most recent Cleveland (TN). Other production operations are located in Baton Rouge (LA), Birmingham (AL), and Chattanooga (TN).
Here are some highlights of the Cleveland Coca-Cola Production Center:
We have two facilities in Cleveland: a 236,500 square foot combined manufacturing plant and warehouse, and a stand-alone 175,000 square foot warehouse
169 associates work at the manufacturing plant and 16 work in the warehouse
The plant will produce approximately 32 million cases of product annually on four production lines: one small PET line; one 2 liter and 20 oz. PET line; one specialty can line; and one can line for 12 oz. cans
The manufacturing warehouse has a capacity of 420,000 cases, while the stand-alone warehouse has a 500,000 case capacity
Cleveland Coca-Cola Production center will serve UNITED, as well as other bottlers

The following photos of our new associates at the Cleveland production facility were taken on Saturday, July 29th, on “DAY 1”; first official day in our Coca-Cola UNITED family.

Beginning in 2014, UNITED embarked on a major expansion as part of the Coca-Cola System realignment of the North America markets by acquiring additional production, sales and distribution rights in territories in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. By the end of 2017, UNITED will have approximately 10,000 associates located in 52 territories across seven southeastern states.
Franchises operated by UNITED include Chattanooga, the world’s first Coca-Cola Bottler, and Atlanta, headquarters of the worldwide Coca-Cola System. UNITED’s headquarters remains in Birmingham, where members of the fifth generation of the Crawford Johnson, Sr. family are engaged in the business.
In 2016, Coca-Cola UNITED was the recipient of the inaugural Market Street Challenge Award presented by The Coca-Cola Company recognizing UNITED as the top bottler in North America for executional excellence and continuous improvement in its local markets.
