Rick Terrell, Director of the Savannah River Division in Coca-Cola UNITED’s East Region, and Mike Thomas, Special Events Manager, worked together with officials from Chatham County Sheriff’s Office to load cases of Dasani® for disaster relief teams to distribute.
Savannah Coca-Cola was ready to heed the call to support disaster teams that began organizing in the area.
Savannah Coca-Cola has been a part of and committed to our associates, consumers, customers and communities for well over 100 years. After experiencing Hurricane Matthew in 2016 and Irma in 2017, the communities in and around Savannah are no stranger to the damaging wind and rain that can occur during hurricane season.
As Hurricane Florence made landfall in North Carolina, many teams began staging near Savannah. As needed, these were dispatched to support our neighbors in the Carolina’s.
It’s in times like these, we reinforce this commitment- and extend it to our fellow North American bottlers in the Coca-Cola system, who also strongly support and meet needs within their communities.
