The Super Bowl is a notoriously intense time for football fans everywhere, but Pepsi has taken a step to make things a little more lighthearted as the big game approaches.
How, you ask?
By setting up a life-sized statue of its founder, Caleb Bradham, and arranging it so that it appears to clink glasses with the statue of John Pemberton, founder of Coca-Cola, which stands outside of downtown Atlanta’s World of Coca-Cola Museum.

Coke’s response came through a spokeswoman via the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, assuring Pepsi that they would be welcomed “with a Coke and a smile.”
But the story doesn’t end there. After the removal of Badham’s statue, Pepsi sent a good-natured barb at Coca-Cola, even using their own #TogetherIsBeautiful hashtag against them.
“Hey @CocaCola we swung by but it looks like you weren’t into having us over today… that doesn’t feel very #TogetherIsBeautiful,” Pepsi tweeted. “Too bad since it seems like our founders thought it was a good idea when we came by to see you this morning.”

Pepsi is an official sponsor of the Super Bowl, which will be played in Atlanta on Sunday between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots. Currently, there are signs around Atlanta that read, “Pepsi in Atlanta. How refreshing.”
