Atlanta South Metro Awarded “Corporate Organization of the Year”

South Metro receives award for ‘Corporate Organization of the Year’ from Fulton County Commissioner Marvin Arrington

It was an honor Thursday, October 24th, for Atlanta South Metro Coca-Cola UNITED to be recognized by Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin Arrington and awarded “Corporate Organization of the Year”.

South Metro has been very active in the district, including the recent ‘Back to School Bash’ event.  This free event was only for Atlanta Public Schools students and their families, with over 50 exhibits, fun activities, free health screenings, and educational, after-school and community resources.  Students who attended also received a free backpack filled with school supplies, just by showing their APS report card!

Many notable community leaders were in attendance at the awards dinner, from the City of Atlanta administrators, to Fulton County Government Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Robb Pitts, and District 3 City Councilwoman Helen Willis (City of South Fulton).

This important stakeholder recognition is evidence of the drive UNITED has when it comes to community involvement all over the south, and specifically in Hometown Atlanta.  Lead by South Metro Sales Center Manager, Steve Futral, and in partnership with all of our Atlanta facilities, we take our corporate responsibility to the Atlanta community very seriously, and are committed to playing an active role in serving wherever and however we can.

Way to go, South Metro!
