Alabama Coastal Community College and Coca-Cola UNITED, part of the solution
More than 20 students and staff from the campus of Alabama Coastal Community College participated in the “Clean Home Alabama” project by picking up litter along Veterans Avenue in Monroeville. The Clean Home Alabama project, slated for November 1-11, 2019, is part of the overall State of Alabama Bicentennial Celebration and is designed to promote the continuous beautification of the state.
This local partnership between CACC and The City of Monroeville will be repeated as students, faculty and staff will commit to clean the 1-mile stretch of Veterans Avenue as part of the City’s Spring Clean Up Day in 2020.
Some of the corporate sponsors for this initiative include: People Against A littered State (PALS), Coca-Cola UNITED, Alabama Department of Transportation, Poarch Band of Creek Indians, Alabama Association of County Commissioners, Vulcan Materials, ALFA Insurance, Honda Manufacturing of Alabama and Alabama Co-Op.
This is one of many initiatives Coca-Cola UNITED participates in, through sponsorship and/or partnership, donations and volunteer labor to assist in cleaning up the great state of Alabama. Along with the help of our many partner agencies and volunteers, we strive to make a difference in our local communities.
Thank you, students and staff of CACC!
