Sodalicious Enters Knock Knock Duck Derby 2018

On June 9, 2018, we’ll be turning City Park Lake into a sea of yellow rubber ducks ready to race to the finish line! Keep reading to find out more about this exciting event.

What Happens During the Knock Knock Duck Derby?

During and following the Knock Knock Duck Derby, children of all ages will enjoy “quacky” activities at Knock Knock Children’s Museum, including face painting, games, and snacks, as well as duck- and nature-themed programs and activities.

“Sodalicious” Makes His Grand Debut!

We’re excited to announce that “Sodalicious” will make his debut and represent Baton Rouge Coca-Cola in the Corporate Duck Race. Come cheer him on June 9th in his first race ever!

Community members and corporations jumped in to make a contribution to Knock Knock’s first Duck Derby. For every contribution, each donor received either a little yellow rubber duck or a larger 10-inch duck that will “race” for the title win during this inaugural event.

The little yellow duck race will lead off the racing entertainment, followed by the “Corporate Duck Race.”

Ducks will be judged based on originality, how well a business and Knock Knock are incorporated in the decorating, and how well and creatively the duck is displayed and shared.

This year, proceeds will be applied to the “Who’s There” exhibit at the Knock Knock Children’s Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
