GREG RIDDLE (CTTC SW/AW CHIEF CRYPTOLOGIC TECHNICIAN TECHNICAL)

With honor and respect, we say THANK YOU to all Veterans!  With Veterans Day approaching we wanted to recognize North Metro’s Greg Riddle, Field Service Supervisor.  Greg served in the Information Warfare and Cryptology Community from Dec 1982 to July 2014.  He served in numerous assignments in Guam Marianas Islands, Alaska, Maine, Washington State, Florida, Virginia, Washington DC, and Georgia.

Chief Riddle’s assignments included tours as an Electronic Data Processing Analyst with Classic Wizard program, Direct Support Leading Petty Officer and Battle Force ELINT Analyst onboard 5 carriers, USS Ronald Reagan, USS Carl Vinson, USS Abraham Lincoln, USS George Washington and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, providing valuable intelligence to Strike Group Commanders and Admiral’s staff across the Globe.

As a Chief Petty Officer he served as the Division Chief for the Global Signals Analysis Laboratory at Ft Gordon, GA and Electronic Warfare Division Chief onboard USS Arleigh Burke, providing Anti-ship Missile defense and valuable Cryptologic support for his ship. He concluded his service as Department Training Chief at Naval Information Operations Command Virginia Beach where he developed curriculum for the Electronic Warfare Advanced Application course, CTT Job Qualification course, and the Technical Intelligence basic, intermediate and advanced courses for the National Security Agency.

He retired in July 2014 from NIOC Norfolk, where his son currently serves as a CTN2, Cryptologic Cyber Network Defense operator, known in the civilian world as a TOP SECRET hacker!!
