Coca-Cola Bottling Company United, Inc., has named Lucas B. Gambino General Counsel and Vice President, effective September 10, 2018.

Gambino comes to Coca-Cola UNITED from Maynard Cooper & Gale in Birmingham, where he practiced law in the banking and corporate area for more than 18 years. Prior to that, he worked in the Mobile, Alabama, office of the Sirote & Permutt law firm.

Gambino is a 1995 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a degree in accounting. He attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 1999.

A native of Fairhope, Alabama, Gambino’s family has owned and operated several restaurants there and in Mobile for more than 30 years, including the well-known Gambino’s in Fairhope.

Gambino serves on the board of the Alabama chapter of the National Conference for Community and Justice (“NCCJ”). He has been recognized by Chambers USA in their America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, Banking & Finance.

Gambino and his wife, Sawsan, reside in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, with their three children: Laith, Dima and Jude.
