Savannah Takes St. Patrick’s Day Seriously

For over 190 years, crowds have taken to the streets of Savannah, GA, to celebrate Irish heritage. Today, Savannah is known for the second largest St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the United States! This city certainly loves the color green, and we loved getting to be a part of such an exciting day.

As 500,000 tourists and locals gathered to celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day, there was no hiding the Coca-Cola UNITED presence in downtown Savannah. We’re an integral part of this town, and we loved seeing our mark on Savannah’s celebration.

Coca-Cola has been a part of the hostess city since 1902, and our involvement has only grown since then. Today, Coca-Cola is still a big part of Savannah – and the St. Patrick’s Day celebration is no exception. From the 36-foot Coca-Cola parade float (complete with iconic polar bear) to the countless Coca-Cola banners and signage lining the streets and area businesses, the strength of the lasting local relationships built over the years is evident.

We’re thankful to the city of Savannah for embracing Coca-Cola UNITED and allowing us to be a part of their special St. Patrick’s Day celebration!
