This month, Powerade geared up for the second year of the “Power Your School” program. This Program consists of student athletes from all across the country submitting essays and videos highlighting their school’s needs. Winning schools received prizes ranging from $2,000 to $10,000 to put towards their specific needs. The entries were based on the needs of each school, the creativity of the entries, and the quality of the submission.

Irwin County High School, located in Ocilla, GA, won $2,000 to go towards their successful athletic programs. On February 7, 2019, our BDM, Bruce Walden, presented a check in the amount of $2,000 to the Irwin County High School football team. Out of hundreds of entries. Irwin County High School had one of 114 winning video submissions!

“Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED is thrilled to award $2,000 to Irwin County High School for their awesome video submission,” said Bruce Walden. “They captured the essence of how important a high school athletic team is to the community and how it brings people together for one common goal.”

On behalf of Coca-Cola UNITED Bottling Company and the Sylvester branch, we congratulate the Irwin County High School Football Team on their winning video submission, and as always, “GO INDIANS!”
